Parsonson & Jackman Aquired for Parker & Picks

As of Sunday morning, Brad Parsonson found himself a member of Top Cheese affiliate the SAUCE but by dinner time he was notified by Top Cheese brass that he had in fact been traded in a 3-Player deal and will report to the Les Castors Franchise and make his debut with thier affiliate Les Bucherons on Tuesday Night.

The trade comes as a bit of a shock, as Parsonson sat comfortably atop the points race in the FHL at the halfway point of the season. (6GP - 10G - 6A - 16PTS - 2.7PPG) He will be joined on the Lumberjacks by fellow Sauce player Alex Jackman, a big burly forward who is coming into his own and has recorded 2 Assists on the campaign thus far.

This trade is the first of newly aquired Beavers GM Mike Dobbs tenure. Word was that Dobbo was looking to make a splash and supply a fledgling franchise with some scoring punch and in a hurry. He has now addressed that need but did he give up to much to make it happen ?

Top Cheese receives Brent Parker, a bonafide # 1 FHL defenceman and a potential BHL call up on the point for the Cheese should the need arise. The green and gold also acquired 2 Top 20 picks in the 2017 BHL Draft.

"This was a trade for the future of the fromage" said GM Jeff Albert. "It was an opportunity for us to make our backend stronger at both levels". "Unfortunatly, we lose a great guy like Brad but his on ice value and the interest he generated was hard to ignore. A few different teams were very interested" said co-GM Cam Green. This trade should go along way in shaping the franchise of Top Cheese in the future with the acquisition of those high draft picks .... Only Time Will Tell !!!!
