Once upon a time, we informed you that a HUGE announcement would be made on July 1st ... We are happy to annouce have kept our promise !!!!!
This upcoming season will mark the 4th Season in BHL history and for the past 3 consecutive BHL Entry Drafts we have been fortunate enough to assemble the GM's and be able complete the draft a day early then present our players to the rest of the players in an arranged event in which we would call the names from the podium in the friendly confines of "The Brig" @ Avondale Square Gardens.
This year will be different ... 194 players will learn thier fate together as a community on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 24th /16.
This year, the 2016/2017 BHL Entry Draft will be "LIVE" ... meaning that as players are chosen, everyone will be in the dark ... The GM's making the announcement will know what name they are about to call but no one else will ... After each selection the team with the next pick will then be ... "ON THE CLOCK" ...
In addition, the entire draft will be completed in one afternoon and include a catered buffet with subsidized drinks for all BHL members ... For an event of this magnitude we have decided to leave our comfortable home setting for such a terriffic celebration and for this BHL black Tie event we will step onto the biggest stage that New Zealand has to offer !!!
