Les Phoques have been an extremely busy deadline team as they have been searching high and low to improve thier fortunes after coming out of the gate 2-0 before dropping 8 of thier next 9 games. Injuries to key players have left the Seals reeling a little bit and thier search for secondary scoring might have just been answered with the signing of sniper and BHL veteran Matt Fuscic. With Fuscic, the seals become an offensive juggernaut overnight and place themselves in the prime position for a late season surge for the silver chalice.
The defending BHL Backyard Cup Champions have completed the BHL trade deadline deal and as a result , we will see 6'5 defenceman Russell Black swap jerseys for the second time in two seasons. Black's hopes of reaching the pinnacle of our sport are now in the balance as he will find himself on the point in Blue and Red with the BHL's MVP Justin Daigle as they push into the 2016 Backyard Cup Playoffs in hopes of defending thier title. With Rusty onboard, the Dragons gain the trusted leadership and comeraderie of a great friend. The grizzly BHL veteran will give them a committed Dman that they will require down the stretch as Joel Jefferies the Dragons main man on the backend will head to Canada in early January.

In one other move by Les Phoques Paul Tallion was placed on waivers then signed to Les Pylones to replace Benji Rockwell on the Red Machine's roster as he has been unable play the 2016 BHL season due to personal reasons. Tallion has been enjoying his first season as a forward as he is cutting his teeth in the BHL one year after beginning his career as the BHL's Backup Goaltender. Quick hands and a high hockey IQ has proved to be his greatest assets and this move swaps him from the basement to the penthouse of the Frozen Lake Conference.
