The BHL brass will meet in the friendly confines of the Botany Forum to decide the order of this years BHL Draft. This will officially kick the BHL off-season into full gear as the order will allow the GM's of all 6 franchises to begin constructing thier respective Draft Lists and in turn will place a microscope squarely overtop of all the free agents in the Backyard Community.
The teams enter the 2015 BHL Draft Lottery is ranked as such :
(Teams are ranked on last years playoff exit and season record combined)
1. Toe Dragons (Backyard Cup Champions)
2. Les Pylones (Finalists)
3. Iceholes (Founder's Cup)
4. Les Phoques (Conference Finalist)
5. Top Cheese ( Wildcard Exit / Higher Season Finish)
6. Les Castors ( Wildcard Exit / Lower Season Finish )
The 2015 BHL Draft Lottery will work as follows :
(A Standard Deck of Cards will be used for the Lottery)
ROUND ONE ONLY
6th ranked team will choose 3 cards from deck
5th ranked team will choose 2 cards from deck
4th ranked team will choose 1 card from deck
3rd ranked team will choose 1 card from deck
Les Pylones = 5th overall pick
Toe Dragons = 6th overall pick
*Cards are shuffled and flipped over one at a time by a non - GM*
1st card = 4th pick
2nd card = 3rd Pick
3rd Card = 2nd Pick
4th Card = Lottery Winner
*Teams with multiple cards ... Last card flipped is the one that counts*
ROUND TWO
All 5 BHL franchises will reduce to one card each
Toe Dragons = 12th overall pick
*Cards are shuffled and flipped over one at a time by a Toe Dragons GM*
1st card = 7th pick
2nd card = 8th Pick
3rd Card = 9th Pick
4th Card = 10th Pick
5th Card = 11th Pick
Toe Dragons = 12th Pick
ROUNDS 3 & All Remaining Rounds
Toe Dragons Choose a Card and join into the Lottery
*Cards are shuffled and flipped over one at a time by alternating GM's each round*
1st Card = 1st Pick in that round and so on
The 2015 BHL Draft Lottery will be followed by
the 2nd BHL Scrimmage Series Event @ 9:15pm
