BHL FINALS : Can the 3rd time be the charm ?

    The BHL had a facelift with this years RESET and as a result the only trade from Season 4 was cancelled in favour of keeping all teams on a level playing field. The new changes were in favour of parity o for this season and seasons to come in the backyard competition. The fact that those 2 teams who picked as the final teams in a Snake draft have qualified for this seasons final. Now thats what you call everyone getting a shot as both the 4 and 5 seeds qualified to fight for the newly refurbished affiliate trophy.

     These two teams have fought thier way through a grueling wildcard round with both winning draft elevation spots in the process. Both have given those elevation wins up in favour of fighting for the Backyards Top Prize the Backyard Cup. The Top Cheese (4) will be entering the final for the 3rd time and searching for the first title in franchise history while Les Castors (5) returns to the finals for just the 2nd time after knocking off this same club to win thier first title just 2 years ago. Can they keep the magic alive and get title number 2 ?

1.         DO IT TOGETHER  : These Beavers have become better as the season has progressed. Their game has taken another step upwards with the pressure of the playoffs mounting. they are spreading the wealth as 5 player have tallied 4 or more genos thus far through just 7 playoff contests.

2.         LET HIM SEE IT : Csaba Kerscos-Magos Jr has been amazing this BHL Postseason posting a ridiculous record of 5-1 with a 2.17 GAA and a stelth .914 Save% (All tops league wide). The main explanation for his turn around ? Being able to see the puck. The Castors will have to be protective of the crease with the hard coming Cheese club who love to crash the crease and give keepers fits.

3.         SPEED DEMONS : Les Castors has simply dominated in these playoffs with something you can not teach or measure. Speed, pure and simple. If they are permitted time and space and allowed to wheel, the green and gold could be in for a short series and Johnny Canucks will have his 2nd Title.
